Offered by University of East London, the PGCE Secondary Modern Languages provides a comprehensive postgraduate education in social sciences. Based in Stratford, England, this programme combines theoretical knowledge with practical application, with a 1-year full-time and part-time structure. This course leads to the award of Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) for the 11-to-16 age range, which qualifies you to be a teacher in secondary schools in England and Wales. Where possible, we also give you the chance to gain experience in the 11-to-18 age range. UEL offers the following combinations of language specialism: French French with German French with Italian French with Spanish Spanish with French German with French Community languages It is of the utmost importance that all young people get the chance to learn at least one language to a high standard. A minimum ielts score of 6.0 is required for admission. Graduates from this programme benefit from strong career prospects, with 75% student satisfaction rating, a 85% continuation rate, and 88% of graduates in employment or further study.
