Course Overview

Offered by Queen Mary University of London, the PhD MD (Res) ICMS provides a comprehensive postgraduate education in health sciences. this Russell Group university offers a research-led approach to learning, with a 3-year full-time and part-time structure. We have more than 120 postgraduate research students on full-time and part-time MPhil, PhD, and MDRes degrees with us at any one time. We recruit scientifically and medically qualified students into research programmes reflecting basic scientific advances in biology and medicine, in translational research and in that of an immediate clinical nature. All five of our centres support research degree studies, and our research areas are led by world leaders in their field. A minimum ielts score of 7.0 is required for admission. Graduates from this programme benefit from strong career prospects, with a median graduate salary of £40,000 within three years, and 75% of graduates in employment or further study.
