Course Overview

Offered by Cardiff Metropolitan University, the MA Photography provides a comprehensive postgraduate education in combined and general studies. Based in Cardiff, Wales, this programme combines theoretical knowledge with practical application, with a 1-year full-time and part-time structure. The MA Photography at Cardiff Met will enable you to take your photographic practice to the next level, finding your place within the context of the histories and practices of lens-based media. This Master’s degree in photography will encourage you to develop new ways of expressing your concerns in imaginative or innovative ways using lens-based and related media. You will develop your authorship of advanced studio work, establish a rigorous connection between practice and theory, and formulate a critical position for your practice. International tuition fees are £17,600 per year, home/UK fees are £11,000 per year, and a minimum IELTS score of 6.0 is required for admission.
