The BSc Physical Activity and Health course available at the University of East Anglia (UEA) is a unique programme that combines scientific study, practical application, and community engagement to provide students with an in-depth understanding of physical activity and its importance to health. This course helps pupils to explore the development and use of physical activity and exercise for preventing and managing diseases, and maintaining and improving health across the lifespan.Course Content: This three-year full-time course covers a range of subjects regarding physical activity and health, including the body’s responses to exercise and ways of increasing people’s motivation to be physically active. Other topics include the social and psychological factors that influence physical activity behaviours, methods for assessing physical activity and fitness, and how to design and evaluate interventions to improve public health through physical activity. Key Modules: The course consists of key modules such as Introduction to Physical Activity and Health, Exercise Prescription for Health and Disease, and Active Lifestyles: Promotion and Delivery. Accreditations: The BSc Physical Activity and Health course at the UEA has been accredited by the Royal Society for Public Health.
