The BA Translation and Interpreting with Modern Languages course offered by the University of East Anglia is designed to nurture a student’s passion for languages and cultures. It allows students to combine their interest in languages with the study of translation and interpreting. Course Content: This course will explore the skills required in both fields, as well as the issues that arise when translating and interpreting. Students will be able to study one or two languages from start, or continue with the languages they already know including French, Spanish, Japanese, and Mandarin.Key Modules: This course includes language modules at five different levels, translation workshops, and an introduction to translating and interpreting in the media. Additionally, there will be an opportunity to develop a deeper understanding of stylistics, sociolinguistics, and cultural literacy. Accreditations: The course is professionally recognized by the Chartered Institute of Linguists (CIoL)Future Careers: This course prepares students for a wide range of careers including translation, interpreting, teaching, marketing, international relations, speech therapy, and more.
