The BA Philosophy and Politics undergraduate course offered at the University of East Anglia combines two disciplines that have gone hand-in-hand for millennia. Rigorous, overlapping studies in both philosophy and politics provide a broad range of knowledge and skills which can be applied in numerous career fields. Course Content: The course content is split evenly between the two disciplines - 50% on Philosophy and 50% on Politics. Students will learn about prominent philosophical approaches in political settings, compare major political ideologies, and understand the role of the state and governance. They will also explore issues in global politics as well as the ethical dimensions of political decision-making. Key Modules: Key modules include; Ethics, History of Political Thought, Contemporary Political Philosophy, Foreign Policy Analysis, Theory and Practice in International Relations, and Political Economy. Accreditations: The BA Philosophy and Politics course is accredited by the Royal Institute of Philosophy.
