BA (Hons) International Development with Politics

The BA International Development with Politics course at the University of East Anglia is a unique program that combines in-depth study of politics with a comprehensive understanding of the complexities of international development. The course addresses the most pressing issues of our time, from climate crises and natural disasters to warfare and sectarian and ethnic violence to poverty and inequality. This is a full-time program conducted over three years.Course Content: During the three-year program, students will gain extensive knowledge about the key issues that shape our world today. The first year focuses on introducing the basics of international development, politics, and economics. In the second year, students will delve deeper into the critical concepts of politics and international development while providing a range of optional modules. The third year is research-focused and offers independent study as well as a selection of specialized optional modules.Key Modules: Students will study modules such as Introduction to International Development, Principles of Economics, Understanding Politics, Introduction to Contemporary Africa, Optional Second Year Modules, and Dissertation/Dissertation: Research Methods.
