MA International Relations

The BA (Hons) International Relations course at the University of Central Lancashire offers an in-depth and comprehensive understanding of complex political, economic and cultural issues in the international environment. This course equips students with the skills required to critically analyze complex global issues, understand the causes of conflict, and comprehend the numerous challenges that our world is currently facing. Course Content: The course comprises three study levels. In Level 4, the focus is on building core knowledge related to international relations theory, global history, and contemporary international relations. Level 5 uses this foundation to delve deeper into the intricacies of contemporary global issues like global governance, international organizations, and global political economy. Level 6 provides an opportunity for students to specialize in their areas of interest, such as global terrorism, US foreign policy, geopolitics and grand strategy, or the politics of climate change.Key Modules: Some notable modules include 'Introduction to International Relations', 'Contemporary World History', 'Global Governance and International Institutions', 'US Foreign Policy', 'Geopolitics and Grand Strategy', and 'Politics of Climate Change'.Future Careers: The course prepares students for a variety of future career paths.
