The Psychology of Child Development BSc (Hons) is a full-time, three-year undergraduate course offered by the University of Central Lancashire. This expertly designed course intertwines Psychology and Child Development, giving students a diverse understanding of children's behaviour and development. Course Content: Throughout this course, students will immerse themselves in key areas such as cognitive and social development, language, identity and theoretical perspectives related to psychology and children's development. There will be an opportunity to delve deep into the role of socioeconomic factors and cultural influence on a child's psychological development as well.Key Modules: The course includes vital modules like Developmental Psychology, Social and Biological Psychology, Research Methods in Psychology, Cognitive Psychology, Applied Psychology and Professional Practice, Brain, Mind and Behaviour, plus an optional placement year.Accreditations: The course is accredited by the British Psychological Society (BPS), and students can gain Graduate Basis for Chartered Membership, provided they achieve the minimal standard of a lower second class honours degree.Future Careers: Upon graduating, students can pursue careers in fields such as clinical and educational psychology, nursing, teaching, research, and early years work.
