Course Content: This full-time course includes modules that cover the fundamentals of civil engineering and emerging areas of expertise. Subjects studied include Mechanics, Structural Design, Geotechnics, Transport Infrastructure and Engineering Materials. You will also acquire practical skills in surveying and CAD.Key Modules: Some of the core modules include Engineering Mathematics 1, Introduction to Geotechnics, Structural Analysis 1, Fluid Mechanics and Thermodynamics, and Civil Engineering Practice and Project Management.Accreditations: This course is accredited by the Joint Board of Moderators (JBM) which includes the Institution of Civil Engineers and the Institution of Structural Engineers. If you study the necessary optional module, this course is also accredited by the Chartered Institute of Highways and Transportation and the Institute of Highway Engineers and provides a way to become a chartered engineer.Future Careers: Graduates can explore a range of career opportunities in construction, consultancies, and in government agencies involved in areas such as transport, water, and the environment.
