BA (Hons) Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) & Modern Language

The BA (Hons) TESOL and Modern Languages at the University of Central Lancashire (UCLAN) is a unique and versatile course designed to equip students with the skills needed to teach English to speakers of other languages, while also developing fluency in a modern language. The combination of TESOL and the study of a modern language enhances students' employability both in the UK and internationally.Course Content: The course content is divided into two aspects - TESOL and Modern Languages. In TESOL, you'll be introduced to linguistics and the methodologies behind language teaching while developing practical teaching skills. The Modern Languages component includes a selection of languages such as French, German, Japanese, Korean, Mandarin and Spanish. Study abroad options are available, offering the opportunity to experience language in its cultural context.
