The BA (Hons) Modern Languages at the University of Central Lancashire (UCLan) is designed to equip students with practical, cultural, and professional knowledge of their chosen languages. With this course, students will be able to vastly expand their language skills in French, German, Japanese or Spanish. Through the option of spending a year abroad, students get a valuable firsthand, immersive experience into culture and society of their language(s) of study.Course Content: The course is structured to enable students to proficiently study one or two languages of their choice. It begins with the core foundations of the languages, moving on to further exploration of phonetics, syntax, language translation, and analysis of spoken and written discourse.
