The International Journalism BA is an undergraduate course offered by the University of Central Lancashire (UCLan). It provides students the opportunity to learn and develop the art of journalism in a global context, with an emphasis on the practical application of journalism skills and knowledge.Course Content: The course covers all aspects of journalism, including TV, radio, print and online, and equips students with the skills to carry out research, interview, and create stories in various formats. Students would learn how to produce news and feature articles, broadcast news bulletins, online blogs, and mini documentaries. They would also be given a chance to travel and report from another country as part of UCLan’s international newsroom.Key Modules: Some of the fundamental modules of this course are based on Journalistic Writing, Research and Investigation, Media Law and Regulation, International News, Radio and TV Journalism, and Digital Journalism. Optional modules can also be taken in the second and third year, focusing on Sports Journalism, Investigative Journalism, Environmental Journalism, and Photojournalism.Accreditations: The course is accredited by the Broadcast Journalism Training Council (BJTC).
