The Game Art BA at the University of Central Lancashire (UCLan) is a carefully designed programme that allows you to increase your potential in the world of game art. The course was developed in close collaboration with industry professionals and provides a balance between creativity and the technical skills necessary to succeed in this fast-paced, growing sector. Course Content: Throughout the duration of this course, students will learn the techniques used in modern game production pipelines. They will work individually and in groups, mirroring the industry studio setup. The program will expose students to the 'live' environment and encourage interaction with both their peers and the game development community.Key Modules: Some of the key modules in this course include Drawing for Animators and Games Designers, Animation Fundamentals, Set Brief (Game), Character and Set (Model Making), Experimental Animation, Lighting and Texturing, Character Set Development (Game), Major Project (Game Art) and Professional and Promotional Practice.Accreditations: This Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree is awarded by the University of Central Lancashire.Future Careers: Graduates can work in various game art-related positions such as environment artist, character artist, vehicle artist, creature artist and props and asset artist.
