BA (Hons) Fine Art

The Fine Art BA course at the University of Central Lancashire is tailored to help students develop their individual creative practice as a fine artist, curators, critics and cultural entrepreneurs thus prepare them for a successful career in the art industry. Course Content: The course is designed in a way to allow students to explore and develop skills in different areas of fine art such as painting, sculpture, printmaking, digital photography, video, and sound. The curriculum is ideas-led and encourages experimental, creative risk-taking and discovery. Students also learn professional practice and gain a conceptual understanding of contemporary fine art. Key Modules: The keys modules include: - Year 1: The Practicing Artist. - Year 2: The Emerging Practitioner. - Year 3: The Independent Practitioner.Accreditations: This course is provided by the University of Central Lancashire which is a member of the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music (ABRSM) and is also accredited by the National Council for the Training of Journalists (NCTJ).Future Careers: Upon completion of the course, students have a wide range of career options in the art industry.
