The BA (Hons) Filmmaking course from The University of Central Lancashire encourages students to explore and develop their filmmaking instincts through a series of modules that cover both the technical and theoretical aspects of the industry. This course offers an opportunity to engage with contemporary debates and practices, and to produce a diverse range of work in the context of film, television, and related media arts.Course Content: Filmmaking students will develop an understanding of the interrelationship between the different roles in film production, the mix of theory and practical projects. Throughout three years, students will get experience in Producing & Directing, Cinematography, Sound, Editing, Scriptwriting and Screenwriting. Extensive use of industry-standard resources plays a big part in the programme, including equipment and post-production facilities. In their final year, students will be asked to produce a graduation film and a written analysis of the film production.Key Modules: While pursuing this course, students will encounter modules such as Editing & Post-production, Filmmaking: Practice & Theory, Storytelling for the Screen, Contemporary Cinema & Television, Independent Project, and Professional Preparation.
