The undergraduate Architecture course provided by ARU provides you with skills, knowledge, and professional accreditation to embark on a career as an architect. It combines practical design projects with a robust understanding of the cultural, social, technical, and theoretical aspects of architecture. Course Content: Through theoretical and practical study, students will explore a variety of subjects including design, technology, theory, and professional studies related to architecture. There are opportunities to enter national competitions, complete professional work placements and work with a range of engaging partners.Key Modules: The course covers three main areas. The Design Studio where students develop and communicate architectural designs. Professional Studies, where students learn about construction, structural design, climate, energy, and sustainability. The Critical Thinking area where students learn historic, theoretical and critical context to architecture.Accreditations: The course is shared with the Architects Registration Board (ARB) for Part 1 prescription, which is the first stage towards becoming an architect.Future Careers: The course provides a pathway to becoming an architect, but also opens a variety of creative career options.
