The BA (Hons) Drama at Anglia Ruskin University is a performance-based course offering students the essential skills, knowledge, and practical experience in creating and performing contemporary drama. Students get the opportunity to collaborate, devise, and write, while experiencing professional practice through dedicated modules and placements.Course Content: This course includes extensive dramatic performance skills development workshops. Students can explore a diverse range of form and style from realism to post-dramatic performance, and from comedy to contemporary musical theatre. Students will gain knowledge and experience in the area of dramatic art, including various styles and forms of drama, and the relationship between play, performer and audience.Key Modules: There're eight modules, including Introducing Drama and Theatre Studies, Technologies of the Stage: Drama, Skills Workshop, Critical and Contextual Studies, Devising, Writing for the Stage, Moving Image, Experimental Theatre, and Professional Practice. The major project in the final year allows students to specialise in a chosen area of drama.Future Careers: The practical and transferable skills that students gain in communication, organisation, team work, research, and critical thinking make drama graduates highly employable across a range of career sectors.
