BSc (Hons) Diagnostic Radiography

The BSc (Hons) Diagnostic Radiography course at the University of Gloucestershire is a three-year full-time program that provides an interprofessional learning experience. The course equips students with the knowledge and skills required to produce high-quality diagnostic images while ensuring patient safety. It combines academic study and clinical experience in an integrated approach.Course Content: The curriculum focuses on scientific knowledge which enables students to understand, perform, and adapt radiographic procedures and to evaluate diagnostic images accurately. It also includes professional development to meet the expectations of professional behaviours, attitudes, and values. The clinical placements are interspersed throughout the course in four main sections, one in the first year, two in the second, and one in the third year.Key Modules: In this course, important modules like Radiographic Techniques and Imaging Science, Research Methods, Evidence Based Practice in Radiography, Medical Imaging and Clinical Practice are included to provide in-depth knowledge and practical learning experience.Accreditations: The course is accredited by the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and the Society and College of Radiographers (SoR).Future Careers: Successful graduates of this course can go on to pursue a career as a Diagnostic Radiographer in a variety of settings including hospitals, private practices, and research facilities.
