BA (Hons) Performing Arts (Level 6) Top-Up

The BA Performing Arts course at the University of Gloucestershire is a three-year full-time degree that allows students to create, perform, and produce innovative work across a wide range of performing arts disciplines — including music, drama, and dance. Students will gain an understanding of the arts industry's business side, including funding, publicity, and marketing. Throughout the course, students will have the opportunity to work on live briefs, creating original performances, and taking their work on tour.Key Modules: The course consists of various modules across its three-year span. In the first year, modules like ‘Introduction to Performing Arts,’ 'Performance: Dramaturgy and Concept,' and 'Performing: Skills and Processes' help students to develop their skills. In the second year, 'Rehearsal and Performance,' 'The Performing Arts Professional,' and 'Site-Specific Performance' provide a more focused approach. In the final year, students will work on a 'Dissertation/ Final Project,' and 'Professional Portfolio' to exhibit their accumulated knowledge.Future Careers: After completion of the course, students can pursue a career in a wide range of sectors such as performing, teaching, arts administration, or community arts work.
