BA (Hons) History

The University of Gloucestershire offers a BA in History that explores the multi-dimensional interpretations of history. The course encourages students to transform their understanding of the past, equipping them with skills and knowledge applicable to distinct careers or further studies.Course Content: This course covers medieval and early modern worlds, modern global histories, faith and power in medieval Europe, archives and interpretation, contemporary cultural and history issues, and local and global histories.Key Modules: Students will cover key modules such as 'Medieval and Early Modern Worlds', 'Faith and Power in Medieval Europe', 'Archives and Interpretation', 'Contemporary Cultural and Historical Issues', and 'Local and Global Histories'. In addition, students are given the opportunity to gain practical experience through a work placement module and to undertake an individual research project.Accreditations: The course is recognized by The Historical Association - a UK based charity that supports the study and appreciation of history.Future Careers: Graduates can pursue careers in teaching, the civil service, the charity sector, archives and museums, human resources, marketing, and professional business services.
