The Physiotherapy course at Wrexham Glyndwr University offers students the chance to gain a comprehension of the science behind physiotherapy and develop core practical skills essential to becoming a competent and effective physiotherapist. The full-time, three-year course provides students with the ability to understand and evaluate the evidence base behind current physiotherapy practice.Course Content: The course content is built around the areas of neuromuscular, musculoskeletal, cardiovascular, and respiratory therapy. The course allows the students to translate physiotherapy knowledge into the clinical environment, where they will have the opportunity to treat patients under supervision. The foundation, skills, and knowledge gained from the course will enable the students to apply physiotherapeutic interventions in diverse, real-world settings.Key Modules: Alongside understanding and applying the core principles of physiotherapy, the course also includes key modules on professional and research topics, evidence-based practice, applied anatomy and physiology, and physiotherapy practical skills.Accreditations: The course is accredited by the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP) and is also approved by the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). This ensures that upon successful completion of the course, graduates can apply to join the HCPC register which allows legal practice as a physiotherapist.
