Combining lectures in various fields such as building pathology, law, economics, and design with direct practical experience in the workplace, this course offers a comprehensive understanding of the field and prepares students for a variety of roles within the industry. Course Content: The course aims to impart an understanding of building pathology, quantification, costing, law, economics, preventative and planned maintenance, refurbishment, and conservation. It also covers building design, technology and environmental performance, and project management.Key Modules: Some of the key modules include Building Surveying Practice, Sustainability and Refurbishment, Building Pathology, Property Law and Practice, Building and Environmental Technology, Costing and Planning, and Project and Information Management.Accreditations: The course has been developed in association with the Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB) and the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS).
