The Children's Nursing Undergraduate Course at Wrexham Glyndwr University offers an opportunity for students to engage in a comprehensive study to become a registered children's nurse. The course encourages students to develop both the practical and academic skills necessary in providing high quality care to children and young people. Course Content: This programme is designed to cover wide-ranging aspects of children’s nursing, including Complex Care of the Child, Professional Issues in Children’s Nursing, Pathophysiology and Pharmacology, and Public Health and Wellbeing. The course content consists of 50% practical and 50% theoretical learning.Key Modules: The course comprises numerous key modules such as foundations of nursing practice, caring for adults with additional needs, introduction to maternity care, and implications of disability on children and families.Accreditations: Upon the successful completion of this course, students will be awarded by the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).Future Careers: The program seeks to prepare students for a career as a registered children's nurse, on completion.
