Wrexham Glyndŵr University's Automotive Engineering with Foundation Year is an undergraduate course designed for enthusiasts of cars and motor vehicle technology interested in a profession in the automotive industry. This course provides you with a broad foundation of skills and knowledge needed to advance in the field of automotive engineering.Course Content: The course content for this program includes a useful blend of theoretical and practical work that covers everything from electrical and electronic principles to management. Students will explore thermodynamics and fluid mechanics, structural mechanics, and dynamics, and will develop their understanding of vehicular systems such as chassis, transmissions, and engines.Key Modules: Key modules include Foundation Mathematics, Foundation Mechanical Science, Introduction to Research Methods, Mechanics and Material, Electrical and Electronic Principles, Automotive Chassis and Transmissions amongst several others.Accreditations: This program has been accredited by the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) on behalf of the Engineering Council for the purposes of fully meeting the academic requirement for registration as an Incorporated Engineer and partly meeting the academic requirement for registration as a Chartered Engineer.Future Careers: Upon completion, students can seek careers as automotive engineering technologists, working either in the design or manufacture of vehicles and transportation systems, or in the vehicle aftermarket, maintenance, motor-sport sectors, or other related professions.For more information on this course, please visit the official course page.
