BA (Hons) Illustration

Wrexham Glyndwr University offers an undergraduate course in Illustration that helps individuals develop their commercial illustration skills. It helps unleash their creative potential while providing them the required knowledge for launching a career in the art and design industry. Animated by practising staff, the course has a collaborative approach that gives students an opportunity for lively exchanges and critique.Course Content: The Illustration undergraduate course offers students an understanding of the narrative, conceptual and marketing-based artwork. It includes exploring drawing in a variety of media, comic book design, storyboarding, and character development. It also includes workshops on digital media including image manipulation and vector graphics.Key Modules: The students will cover several key modules such as Visual Exploration, Skills Development in Art & Design, Commercial Design, and Professional Studies in Illustration. They will also work on an independent research project towards the end of the program.Future Careers: On completion of the course, students will have the skills needed for a variety of careers in the ever-expanding field of illustration.
