MA Music (with Performance): Performance pathway

The Music with Performance: Performance Pathway MA at the University of Birmingham is a specialized course designed for students interested in both practical and academic aspects of Music. It provides the advanced training needed to pursue a career in music, allowing you to balance your studies shooting towards your specific career aspirations.Course Content: Students will be given the chance to specialize in the area of their choice, selecting from a wide range of optional modules. The path of study entails a Performance module, preparing a 45-minute public recital, and Dissertation or Special project.Key Modules: Some of the key modules offered include Techniques and Skills for Musicology; Special Study: Editorial and Source Studies; Orchestration and Arranging; and Historical Performance Practice: principles and research.
