MA Education (Inclusion & Disability)

The MA Inclusion-Special Educational Needs at the University of Birmingham is a program designed to develop a high level of understanding and relevant skills connected to inclusive practice and Special Educational Needs (SEN) matters. This course is geared toward practitioners who are working or interested in working in inclusive and special needs settings within the worldwide education, health, social and voluntary sectors.Course Content: The course content consists of a series of modules designed to inspire and engage students. The primary focus of the program is on various aspects of inclusion and special educational needs. Subjects cover a wide range of issues, such as social justice, human rights, disability, autisms, physical and medical needs, along with leadership, policy and practice.Key Modules: There are four key modules in the course: Inclusion and Special Educational Needs: Concepts and Context; Leadership for Inclusive Practice; Effective Practices for Inclusion and Special Educational Needs; and Dissertation in Education. Alternatively, you can opt to replace Effective Practices for Inclusion and Special Educational Needs module and the assignment with a School-based Inquiry and Research Brief.Accreditations: The MA Inclusion-Special Educational Needs program is run by the School of Education at the University of Birmingham, a world-renowned institution highly ranked in the QS World University Rankings by Subject.Future Careers: This course equips graduates with the knowledge and skills to pursue careers in a varied range of sectors, including social care, voluntary services, education, and health.
