BA Politics & Sociology

The University of Birmingham offers a BA in Politics and Sociology. This course looks at the interplay of structures of power and social division, and how they shape our lives. It provides an in-depth understanding of politics, political institutions, and processes alongside a comprehensive study of sociology. This programme equips students with an internationally-recognised degree that is highly competitive in both public and private sector employment. Course Content: The course structure allows students to choose from a range of specialised modules in subjects such as Social Policy, Sociology of Youth and Adolescence, International Development, Political Communication and many others. From the second year onwards, students are allowed to choose a pathway in either politics or sociology based on their interests.
