BA Modern Language & Music

The Modern Languages and Music course at the University of Birmingham is a joint honors degree program that allows you to study a modern language in combination with music. This innovative program is designed for individuals who have a passion for both language and music and encourage them to integrate their skills in imaginative ways.Course Content: The course is composed of a 50/50 split between modern language and music. In the language part of your course, you will learn to master the fundamentals, such as grammar, vocabulary, structure, and pronunciation, while also exploring the culture and society in which it is spoken. The music part of the degree allows you to familiarize yourself with everything from performance and composition to musicology and music history.Key Modules: This course does not provide specific modules, but there is breadth and depth in both the language and music components.
