The MSc in Psychological Research Methods is a full-time, one-year course offered by the University of Sheffield. This programme enables students to become psychological researchers. The direct experience through conducting analysis on large datasets will provide students with skills that are valuable in academia and other areas of employment that involves analyzing complex sets of data.Course Content: The course covers essential research methods, qualitative methods, and provides students direct experience in conducting analysis on large datasets. Students will have an opportunity to participate in ongoing projects being conducted by the academic staff or you can choose to develop your own research project in consultation with your supervisor.Key Modules: Core modules include Quantitative Methods and Further Qualitative Methods. Optional modules include Applied Research Methods, Issues in Psychological Health, and Cognitive Development.Accreditations: The Masters in Psychological Research Methods is recognized by the Economic and Social Research Council, giving students an opportunity to apply for ESRC postgraduate funding.Future Careers: Upon graduation, students can apply their skills obtained from the course in various fields where data analysis is valued, including health, education, social care, and marketing research.
