MSc Human Resource Management

The Human Resource Management MSc at the University of Sheffield is an advanced one-year, full-time course aimed at educating future HR leaders. Students will acquire knowledge in Human Resource Management principles, acquire transferable skills and build upon their professional development.Course Content: The course covers a host of critical topics with a strategic approach to human resources. It abides by key principles of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development’s advanced level. The course also gives students the opportunity to perform a Business Project instead of a dissertation. There is also a part-time study option taking 24-36 months duration.Key Modules: Major topics included in the study are HRM in Context, Strategic HRM, Work, Employee Relations, and the Rest of HRM, Methods of Inquiry, Professional Development, Business Project/Dissertation, and three options.Accreditations: The course is fully accredited by the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD). Upon successful course completion, students gain associate membership of the CIPD.Future Careers: Graduates of this MSc often begin their careers in the HR departments of large multinational companies. Opportunities exist in management consultancy, recruitment, compensation, and training.
