The Cardiovascular Medicine: From Molecules To Man (MRes) at the University of Sheffield is a one-year, full-time research-based course. It offers comprehensive training for those wishing to learn the state-of-the-art techniques used in cardiovascular medicine research. This course is highly interdisciplinary, bringing together contributions from the departments of Cardiovascular Science, Department of Oncology and Metabolism, and the Department of Infection, Immunity and Cardiovascular Disease.Course Content: The course focuses on molecules, cells, organs, and systems as well as diseases that have an impact on the heart. Core to the curriculum is the cardiovascular research project students undertake, which constitutes a significant portion of the degree.
