The Law MA course offered by the University of Sheffield is a postgraduate program that is designed to offer a deep and systematic understanding of laws and legal concepts. It gives opportunities to students from both law and non-law backgrounds to explore their interest in law at an advanced level. It also provides students with a great opportunity to hone their legal research skills, which are highly valuable to employers.Course Content: The subject matter of the program is made up of both compulsory and optional modules, varying from International Law, Corporate Governance, to Criminal Justice and Family Law, as well as a Research Dissertation.Key Modules: The compulsory modules consist of Research Methods in Law; Law in Context, Comparative Law and Globalization; and, Research Dissertation in Law. There is an extensive list of optional modules, from which students are allowed to select according to their specific interests.Future Careers: Graduates of the Law MA course will be prepared for a wide variety of careers. These include professions in the field of law, but the skills acquired would also be relevant for roles in government, the voluntary sector, business and commerce, and academia.
