The Law and Spanish Law LLB course at the University of Sheffield allows students to study legal systems of two jurisdictions, i.e., the UK and Spain. The course is designed for three years of study in Sheffield and one year in a Spanish partner institution. Course Content: The course focuses on legal principles and skills. Students will gain valuable skills in research, teamwork, problem-solving, and communication. They will carry out independent research, group work, and a Dissertation. They will also learn about the court system and legal practice. Key Modules: Key modules include Constitutional Law, Contract Law, Criminal Law, and Property Law in the first year; Law of Torts, Land Law, and EU Law in the second year; and Equity and Legal History in the final year. Students also have to complete a year-abroad scheme in Spain.Accreditations: This course is recognized by the Solicitors Regulation Authority and the Bar Standards Board. It is also validated by the Consejo General del Poder Judicial in Spain.Future Careers: Students can pursue a career as a Solicitor or Barrister in the UK or Spain.
