Beng Civil Engineering

The BEng in Civil Engineering at the University of Sheffield is a three-year undergraduate course designed to provide students with a solid foundation in the methods and skills required within civil engineering. Through this course, students gain the technical and analytical proficiency needed in the design, maintenance, and modification of all aspects of our civil infrastructure, including buildings, bridges, and transportation systems.Course Content: The programme covers a broad range of topics including structures, geotechnics, materials, fluids, surveying and construction management, with a focus on problem solving and design. Students receive practical training through laboratory works and field courses, and are also given the opportunity to work on real projects under the guidance of industrial partners from the field.Key Modules: Modules covered in this programme includes Civil and Structural Engineering Skills, Mathematics, Structures and Materials, Surveying and Civil Engineering and Site Management, among others.
