The Korean Studies BA at the University of Sheffield is a comprehensive undergraduate course that offers students an in-depth exploration of Korean history, culture, politics, and language. The course aims to develop Korean language proficiency and a broad understanding of Korea in its historical and contemporary context.Course Content: The course covers diverse areas such as the history, culture, politics, and language of Korea. Students take a specific module in the Korean language in their first year, and continue to develop their language skills in the next two years. In their fourth year, students have the opportunity to spend a year studying in Korea.Key Modules: In the first year, Core modules include Everyday Life in Modern Korea, and Korean Language. In the second year, students study Development & Division in Modern Korea, and continue with Korean Language.
