The Journalism Studies BA at the University of Sheffield is a comprehensive program offering a mix of practical and theoretical studies that equip students with the journalistic skills needed in the digital era. The course also examines journalism's legal and ethical frameworks. Course Content: The program content includes learning about news reporting, video and audio production, feature writing, and online journalism. In addition, students have the opportunity to study media law, public affairs, shorthand, and research methods. By the final year, students devise their own journalistic project and can choose from a diverse range of modules for further studies. Key Modules: Some of the core modules are: Journalism Portfolio, Content Creation, and Specialist Journalism. Optional modules include – Writing for Magazines, Investigative Reporting, and Journalism Politics and Society.
