The Biomedical Science BSc at the University of Sheffield is a comprehensive course that combines the fields of biology and medicine. This course provides the opportunity for students to gain in-depth knowledge, skills and understanding in a wide range of biomedical disciplines.Course Content: The Biomedical Science BSc course provides a broad base of knowledge in the first year, including modules that deal with the principles of biochemistry, genetics, human anatomy, physiology and microbiology. Following the first year, students choose from a suite of modules allowing them to tailor their studies to their interests. Year two includes Molecular Biology and Microbiology, whilst year three allows specialization in areas such as cancer and cardiovascular disease, infectious disease, or genetics and genomics.
