The Biological Sciences with Placement Year MBIoLSci at the University of Sheffield is a flexible degree where students can tailor the course to suit them, with a year of work experience to boost their CV. This course offers the chance to specialise in a range of subjects, from biochemistry to animal behaviour, or keep options broad for a well-rounded biological education.Course Content: The course covers a broad range of biological disciplines, bridging the relationship between animal, plant and microbial systems, and their environment. The first year covers key biological concepts and skills through modules. In the second year, students are given the freedom to specialise, or to keep the content broad. The third-year placement experience can be home or abroad, and the final year features an optional research project or dissertation.Key Modules: Some of the core modules feature 'The Biomolecular Structure and Function', 'Evolution and Environment', 'Animal and Plant, Physiology and Behaviour'.
