The Biochemistry MBIolSci course is an undergraduate program offered by the University of Sheffield. This four-year integrated masters program allows students to explore in-depth knowledge and understanding of the subject, that provides an underlying basis to some of the most essential biological processes, with a focus on practical and hands-on experiments and research.Course Content: The Biochemistry MBIolSci program covers several key areas in biochemistry, including cell biology, medical biochemistry, microbiology, genetics, and more. In the first two years, students study biochemical and other biosciences topics combined with modules developing practical and professional skills. The third year contains advanced modules from the molecular bioscience programs. The fourth year is research-intensive, revolving around two research projects, one of which might be carried out at a partner institution abroad.Key Modules: Although the modules change every year based on the latest research and industry demand, the course typically includes modules such as Human Anatomy and Physiology, Proteins and Enzymes, Control of Cell Function, Cell Differentiation and Development, Cell Recognition and System Development, Experimental Biochemistry, and Molecular Basis of Bacterial Disease.Accreditations: This course is accredited by the Royal Society of Biology.
