BSc (Hons) Geology

The BSc Geology undergraduate course from the University of Plymouth aims to nurture students into professional geologists. This program exposes students to a hands-on study model where they undertake fieldworks combined with advanced software skills and laboratory investigations to gain a deep understanding of Earth's processes, materials, and history.Course Content: The course requires students to complete five core modules in the first year covering areas like Plate Tectonics and Earth's Interior, Fieldwork and Mapping, Earth Materials, Earth and Ocean System and Numeracy, Statistics and Computing for Earth Scientists. The second year includes advancing in topics including Structural Geology and Tectonics, Stratigraphy and Sedimentary Basins, Remote Sensing and Global Geoscience among others.
