BA (Hons) Fine Art

The BA Fine Art course at Plymouth University allows students to explore and deepen their creative process within the discipline of fine arts. The curriculum is designed to broaden and enhance students' professional skills and theoretical understanding to help them create a unique artistic voice.Course Content: The course places emphasis on drawing, painting, sculpture, and new media practices, pramacarefully designed to evolve practical and intellectual skills to a high level. Additionally, critical perspectives are incorporated, of important concepts and issues central to the understanding of contemporary fine art. Key Modules: Key modules include Critical Thinking; Exhibition 1 - A Dialogue With Art History; Foundation in Fine Art Practice; Professional Practice and a major project. Each of these are designed to give vital exploratory skills, technique, and theory insight. Future Careers: Upon completion of the course, students can pursue various roles within the art and design industry, from practicing artists to gallery curators, educators to arts administrators.
