MRes Green Criminology and Environmental Crime

The Green Criminology and Environmental Crime MRes course offered by Liverpool Hope University is an innovative program offering a critical and empirical examination of issues regarding environmental harm, crime, and justice. This course addresses the green criminological aspects of contemporary environmental harm and crimes, morphology of environmental crime, the legal and law enforcement responses to these crimes, and the role of the global political economy in the emergence and perpetuation of environmental harms.Course Content: The Green Criminology and Environmental Crime MRes course combines traditional criminological theories and methods with contemporary, cutting-edge issues and debates. Key Modules: The course comprises significant modules including International Politics and the Environment, Democracy, Ethics, and Social Justice, Green Criminology, and Global Economics.
