BSc(Hons) Psychology

The Undergraduate Psychology course at Liverpool Hope University aims to provide a solid foundation in understanding how humans think and behave, with a strong emphasis on the application of this knowledge in real world contexts. Throughout this course, students will develop their skills in research and analysis, critical thinking and ethical judgment to evaluate how psychological knowledge can benefit societies and individuals.Course Content: The course is divided into several modules, with key topics covering cognitive psychology, biopsychology, social psychology, developmental psychology, and personality and individual differences.Key Modules: The study program is extensive, encompassing areas such as Research Methods in Psychology, Brain and Behaviour, Social Psychology, and Psychology and Crime. There are also several optional modules that students can choose from, including Forensic Psychology, Health Psychology, and Educational Psychology.Accreditations: Upon successful completion of this course, students will obtain a degree accredited by the British Psychological Society (BPS). This provides Graduate Basis for Chartered Membership (GBC), which is the first step towards becoming a Chartered Psychologist.Future Careers: Graduates of this course have a wide variety of career routes available to them. These include roles in health and social care, education, criminal justice, human resources, and business intelligence.
