BSc(Hons) Environmental Geography

The Environmental Geography program offered by Liverpool Hope University is designed to help students understand and engage with the complexities of our rapidly changing world. This course will not only explore environmental issues like climate change, biodiversity, and sustainable development, but it also goes beyond, inviting students to critically engage with the politics, culture, and geography that shape and influence environmental issues.Course Content: The course presents an interdisciplinary approach, drawing from subjects like Physical Geography, Social Sciences, Politics, and Ethics. This draws together the main aspects of environmental geography. Students will get to study case-based geography on specific areas such as water scarcity, management for development, rising sea levels, and marine pollutants amongst others.Key Modules: While the course covers a broad range of topics, key modules include Introduction to Human Geography, Skills and Perspectives in Geography, Environment, Society and Sustainability, Environmental Injustice, Geographical Fieldwork and many others.Accreditations: The course has been accredited by the Royal Geographical Society and Institute of British Geographers.Future Careers: Graduates with a degree in Environmental Geography from Liverpool Hope University may pursue career paths in governmental and non-governmental organizations, the environmental sector, planning and development, and several other sectors which require a strong understanding of environmental and geographical knowledge.For more information on this course, please visit the official course page.
