BA Stage Design & Scenography and Psychology

The Psychology and Stage Design/Scenography BSc degree at Liverpool Hope University is an innovative course combining the study of psychology and stage design. This degree allows students to study these topics in depth, as part of a unique and dynamic arts environment that values interdisciplinary learning.Course Content: The Psychology curriculum offers a broad view of psychology’s major perspectives and offers the opportunity to become familiar with research methods used in the field. Stage Design and Scenography study provides the opportunity to explore spatial practices, 3D forms, materials, color theory and lighting. Students will also engage in theoretical aspects exploring the history of stage design and interpretation of text and character.Key Modules: The course comprises of various modules, including Psychology independently, Stage Design, Stylistic Developments in European Theatre, Spatial Practices, Interdisciplinary Practice and The Interpretive Model.Accreditations: The Psychology aspect of the degree is accredited by the British Psychological Society (BPS).Future Careers: Graduates of this program may find employment in a wide range of fields such as stage or theatre design, education, drama therapy, and advertising.
