The BA (Hons) Contemporary Craft and Art History course offered by Liverpool Hope University is an immersive program that combines creative and critical skills. It provides students with a balance of hands-on making, theoretical study, and professional experience, enabling them to gain an understanding of a range of craft processes as well as the history of art and craft. Course Content: The course engages students in a range of craft skills including ceramics, textiles, and metalwork, also using a suite of 3D printers and laser cutters. It also helps deepen their understanding of how crafts fit into the wider context of the arts and society. The history modules provide an understanding of styles, genres, artists and movements, from the medieval to the postmodern, in a variety of cultures and periods.
