The Acting and Psychology course at Liverpool Hope University uniquely combines the study of acting with an in-depth understanding of psychology. The integration of theoretical and practical learning equips students with an advantageous skill set adaptable to a variety of professions.Course Content: This is a Full Time, undergraduate level course that runs for three years. In the first year, the modules give an overview of the journey from drama to theatre. This includes playing with texts, theater history, and approaches to acting. The second and third years delves into acting, performance, directing, entrepreneurship, applied theatre, contemporary plays, and 20th-century theatre.Key Modules: Some of the key modules in the course include stagecraft, period styles, devising, entrepreneurship, directed performances, global theatre, volunteer placements, social entrepreneurship, and community drama.Future Careers: The course equips students to keep moving forward in their profession. It prepares them for professional practice in education, acting, directing, and management in a multitude of settings.
