BA (Hons) Contemporary Craft and Music

The Acting & Media Communication course offered by Liverpool Hope University explores the performance of drama, together with an exploration of wider media and communication forms. Students have opportunities to explore a wide range of performance media and develop inquiry into the relationship between live and recorded performance.Course Content: The degree focuses not only on the skills needed for performance, but also on the wider implications of understanding how performance, media, and communication shape society, enabling a deeper understanding of literature, history, politics, philosophy and culture. Studios and rehearsal spaces are at the centre of the degree, and students will learn in various locations across the campus including the Capstone Theatre.Key Modules: Key modules include the Classical Texts, Contemporary Theatre & Festivals, Broadcasting and Digital Media, Short Film Making, and Screen Writing.Future Careers: Graduates from this degree are well suited for careers in acting, directing, producing, and broadcasting.
